RARA LAKE TREK

Rara Lake trek takes you to the small piece of heaven in the remote part of the mid-western region. Rara Lake is known as the queen of the Lake as it is the pivotal attraction of the trek. It lies at an elevation of 2990 meters in the backdrop of mighty snow-capped mountains. The lake is spread over an area of 106 sq km that lies in the Rara National Park. The Park not only preserves lakes but also the diverse flora and fauna of the central Himalayas. However, it is home to 500 different species of plants and flowers. There are various ways to reach Rara Lake. From Nepalgunj joining the Jumla and Sinja valley, direct fly from Talca airport and hike to Lake, and finally drive from Surkhet to Mugu.
