LANGTANG REGION TREK - What to expect
Langtang region is known as the first national park in Nepal, exist of green valleys, huge glaciers, high mountain passes, and rural villages. Langtang region is also one of the best places for trekking in Nepal but it is less popular than Annapurna trekking and Everest trekking. It is located nearby the Kathmandu valley. The Langtang trek route starts just about 30km from Kathmandu. In this region, over 70 glaciers of varying sizes, mountain ranges like the Langtang and Ganesh Himal, including high altitude lakes like Gosaikunda, Parvati Kunda, Bhairavkunda, and Dudh Kunda.

Langtang trek is the shorter hiking trek in Nepal where it offers fantastic scenery from the jungle, the spectacular ice faces and tumbling glaciers, and ice peaks at the high elevations. Helambu trek, Gosainkunda lake trek, Tamang heritage trek, and Langtang valley trek are the major trekking area in the Langtang region.
Langtang offers natural beauties and fantastic wildlife viewing as it resides in Langtang national park which is currently the 2nd biggest national park in Nepal. Trekking in the Langtang region is the best choice for both nature lovers and adventure where we can observe the stunning views of Langtang Himal, Langtang Lirung, Mt. Gangchhopo, Langtang Ri, Lakpa Dorje, Ganesh Himal, Yala peak, and many more. Langtang region offers a choice of moderate for more difficult hiking.
