DHAULAGIRI CIRCUIT TREK

The Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek is one of the adventurous and challenging trekking destinations of Nepal. The trail goes from low land farming villages in the foothills of the Himalayan to the high alpine pastures, high windswept passes, and uninhabited valleys of Highlands. Dhaulagiri Circuit Trek passes through the deepest gorge in the world, Kali Gandaki, and circulates the trail with stunning vistas of the Dhaulagiri range including Tukuche Peak, Dhaulagiri I, Dhaulagiri II, Dhaulagiri III, and Dhaulagiri V. Overall, The trail follows various Buddhist culture-related villages and terraced farmland, river, gorges and along with glaciers.

DETAIL ITINERARY

Day 1: Arrival in Kathmandu

Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will transfer you to the hotel. After checking in, rest for the day or explore the valley.

Day 2: Sightseeing and preparation day in Kathmandu valley

Today is the final trek preparation and exploration day in Kathmandu valley. Visit the UNESCO-listed world heritage sites situated in the valley. Overnight in the hotel of Kathmandu valley.

Day 3: Drive to Beni 

Early in the morning, we will catch our bus to reach Beni. It will be an 8 to 9 hours long scenic ride through the pleasant riverside, to reach Beni.

Day 4: Beni to Babiyachaur

After having early morning breakfast our trail starts along the brown water of the Myagdi River to Tatopani. Now, we will cross Simalchaur to reach Babiyachaur.

Day 5: Babiyachaur to Dharapani 

Today our trail continues through the terraced fields and forested slopes to the village of Shahashradhara. The trail now passes through rock walls arriving at Dharapani.

Day 6: Dharapani to Muri

Early in the morning, our trail starts with a steep climb up to a Myagdi Khola. Now, the trail climbs up to the beautiful ridge-top village of Muri.

Day 7: Muri to Bagar

After having breakfast our trail continues through farmland and terraced fields divided by a water river. Now, the trail goes a steep ascent to reach Bagar.

Day 8: Bagar to Dobhan

Today our trail starts with terraced fields and wilderness along the dense forest onto the village of Dobhan.

Day 9: Dobhan to Khola Camp

Today our trail climbs up to the scenic woodland, alpine meadows, and running water of the Myagdi Khola to our today’s destination Khola Camp.

Day 10: Khola Camp to Italian Base Camp

Today we will climb up through the beautiful glacier field Chhobarban and further higher into our final destination of the day, the Italian base camp.

Day 11: Acclimatization day in Italian Base Camp

Today is the day for resting as we are getting to a higher altitude. Explore the day in the Italian Base Camp.

Day 12: Italian Base Camp to Glacier Camp

After having early morning breakfast our trail continues through the hidden menace of glaciers and stunning mountain views arriving at the Glacier Camp.

Day 13: Glacier Camp to Dhaulagiri Base Camp

Our trail now slowly continues to the Dhaulagiri Base Camp through the Magnificent mountain views. Overnight in Dhaulagiri Base Camp.

Day 14: Acclimatization day in Dhaulagiri Base Camp 

Today is another rest day of the journey. Enjoy the day by exploring plenty of side trips around the camp.

Day 15: Dhaulagiri Base Camp to Hidden valley via French Pass

Today our trail leads back around the mountain reaching the French Pass. Now after spending some time our trail descends to Hidden valley.

Day 16: Hidden Valley to Yak Kharka via Dhampus La Pass

The trail descends through the hidden valley and reaches the major pass, Dhumpus La. Now our trail drops down to Yak Kharka.

Day 17: Yak Kharka to Jomsom

Today our trail retraces through the Kali Gandaki River and to Marpha village. Finally, after reaching Jomsom rest for the day.

Day 18: Fly back to Pokhara

After having early morning breakfast we will depart for Pokhara from Jomsom. Spend the day in Pokhara by sightseeing.

Day 19: Drive back to Kathmandu

Early in the morning we will catch our bus and drive back to Kathmandu. Rest for the day in the Hotel.

Day 20: Final Departure

Our representative member will drop you at the TIA Kathmandu at your scheduled flight time.
